Carthage man sentenced in human trafficking case

A Carthage man has been sentenced to 25 years in prison with 10 years to serve in a human trafficking case.

Attorney General Lynn Fitch says 38-year-old James Wilder was convicted of tampering with physical evidence and intimidating a witness.

Fitch says her human trafficking unit was alerted to the case by the Leake County Sheriff’s Office and the Department of Child Protection Services.
