Crashes, Crime, and Chaos Monday in Neshoba

Philadelphia and Neshoba first responders were busy on Monday, March 24 with multiple incidents including a pedestrian struck by a vehicle and a man who urinated off the balcony of a hotel. Find the details below.

6:54 a.m. – Neshoba County Deputies and MS Hwy Patrol responded to a two-vehicle crash on Hwy 21 S near Rd. 125. A third vehicle ran into a ditch trying to avoid the wreck. No injuries were reported.

8:40 a.m. – EMS and Neshoba County Deputies were dispatched to the area of Rd. 701 and Rd. 296 where a vehicle reportedly struck a pedestrian. The individual who was hit stated the person was driving a white Kia and left the area. The person who was struck complained of arm and leg pain.

8:44 a.m. – Philadelphia Fire Department and Philadelphia Police were called to a two-vehicle crash at the traffic light near McDonalds. Injuries were reported but it is unclear how serious they were.

1:42 p.m. – Philadelphia Police requested at Popeyes when a man with a box cutter began threatening employees and customers. Officers arrested the man without incident.

11:30 p.m. – Philadelphia Police were requested at Econolodge on Hwy 16 W when a man reportedly urinated off the balcony of the hotel then refused to leave when asked. He was successfully removed from the premises.

11:49 p.m. – Officers were called to the Save Inn Motel on W. Beacon St. regarding a disturbance in progress.
