A Leake County Sheriff’s Deputy was involved in a single-vehicle rollover crash while responding to a disturbance on Mars Hill Road on Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2026.
According to the Leake County Sheriff’s Office, the deputy was transported to the hospital for evaluation and later released. No severe injuries were reported.
Sheriff Randy W. Atkinson expressed gratitude to the Leake County Volunteer Fire Departments, Leake County EMS, Mississippi Highway Patrol, off-duty Leake County deputies, and county dispatchers for their quick response and professionalism. He also thanked Leake County citizens for their prayers and support following the incident.
