Carthage emergency responders were called to the Exxon gas station on Hwy 35 South Tuesday just before 12:30 p.m. after an 18-wheeler collided with a diesel pump, causing a fuel spill.
The Carthage Police and Fire Department quickly responded to the scene, while the Department of Environmental Quality was notified to manage the spill. The situation was contained without further incident.
