Flowers wins GOP congressional primary runoff

Brian Flowers has won a congressional Republican primary runoff.

He will face Democratic Rep. Bennie Thompson in November.

Flowers, who works at Grand Gulf Nuclear Station, beat out Thomas Carey, a retired real estate agent.

Thompson is the longest-serving member of Mississippi’s current congressional delegation.
