Flu in MS Now at Moderate Level

SHARE NOW

More flu in Mississippi.  The State Health Department says the percentage of patients in doctors’ offices with flu-like symptoms is up to 4.3 per cent, the highest so far this season, putting Mississippi in the “moderate” category on the CDC flu map.   There’s been a big jump in flu activity in the public health district which includes Attala and Holmes counties, now at almost 16 per cent.  That district, which also covers much of the Delta, has historically been the state’s flu hot spot.  But the district which includes Leake and Neshoba counties has seen a slight decrease in its flu rate, down to 6.4 per cent.
