Hit and Run Wreck Reported in Neshoba County

PHILADELPHIA, Miss.–A hit and run wreck was reported Friday evening just before 6:30 in Neshoba County.

Law enforcement was called out to Hwy. 19 north and County Rd. 383 on report of a wreck between a Ford F-250 and a Chevy Tahoe. The F-250 driver remained on the scene while the Chevy Tahoe driver took off.

The person who called it in said the driver appeared to be intoxicated.

A short time later Philadelphia Police were dispatched to Pecan Ave. in front of Philly Express where a white Chevy Tahoe hit a Cadillac Escalade. It was suspected to be the same Tahoe involved in the hit and run.

The Chevy Tahoe was trying to leave the scene.

An ambulance was called to the wreck in front of Philly Express.

Police were able to stop the Tahoe. One person was taken in for a blood test for possible intoxicated driving.
