The Leake Academy varsity basketball teams played in the semifinal round of the North 5A tournament this afternoon taking place at East Rankin Academy. The Lady Rebels faced off with the Pillow Academy Lady Mustangs and won the contest by 10 points, 48-38 to advance to the North 5A Championship game tomorrow afternoon at 2:15pm playing the East Rankin Academy Lady Patriots. The Leake Academy Rebels played the Patriots of Heritage Academy from Columbus and would trail the Patriots throughout the contest falling by 18 points, 53-35. The Rebels will play in the consolation game tomorrow afternoon at 4:00pm their opponent will be determined later tonight.
