The Leake Academy Rebels traveled to Mendenhall tonight to play the Cougars of Simpson Academy. Heavy rain prior to kickoff led to a scoreless first inning but by halftime the Rebels were leading the Cougars 21-6. In the second half, the Rebels added an additional touchdown late in the 3rd quarter to take a 22 point lead, 28-6 which turned out to be the final points scored in the ballgame after a scoreless 4th quarter. Next week the Rebels return home to Madden to host Riverfield Academy from Rayville, Louisiana.
