The Leake Academy Rebels were at home tonight hosting the Cougars of Simpson Academy from Mendenhall. The Rebels enjoyed a one run lead in the game until the top of the 4 inning when the Cougars took the lead 2-1. The Cougars had a 3 run lead going into the bottom of the 6th inning when the Rebels scored 2 runs to cut the lead down to 1 run. A big 3 run inning for the Cougars in the top of the 7th inning ended all scoring in the game giving the Simpson Cougars a 7-3 win. The loss drops the overall season record for the Rebels to 14-3 and 3-2 in district play. Caden Stovall was named tonight’s Wendy’s player of the game.
