Leake County News: Fire, Crash, and More on Monday

Leake County first responders were busy Monday evening with several calls.

Edinburg Volunteers tackled a woods fire on Coosa Rd. near Littlefield Rd. at around 5:30 p.m.

Deputies were dispatched to a home on Sanders Ln. after a resident reported hearing rocks thrown at their house, though no suspects were spotted.

Leake County Deputies and Edinburg Volunteer Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle crash on Hwy 472 near the second bridge. One vehicle fled the scene, heading toward Laurel Hill. The remaining vehicle was towed. Deputies searched the area but it is unclear if the driver who fled the scene was located.

No injuries were reported in any of the above incidents.
