A storm that did some damage near Lena Saturday night has been confirmed as a tornado.  Leake County Emergency Management Director Tommy Malone was with a National Weather Service survey team which looked at the area Monday afternoon and says they rated the tornado damage as EF-zero or low-end EF-1.   Malone says NWS has determined the storm began spinning up around Flowood before tracking toward Lena, a path of more than 33 miles.  The survey will continue to see much farther the tornado was on the ground.

Malone says most of the damage in Leake County was to trees, but one home had damage to a roof and a shed was damaged.
