UPDATE: Leotavius Ellington in Custody After Traffic Stop Turns Pursuit

UPDATE (6/22/2025 at 6pm): Leotavius Ellington has turned himself in to KPD and was booked into the Leake County Correctional Facility. Ellington is charged with speeding, possession of a controlled substance, disregarding a traffic control device, failure to comply with law enforcement, tampering with physical evidence, and failure to stop a motor vehicle upon command of law enforcement officer with a total bond set at $62,205.50.


Kosciusko Police are actively searching for 23-year-old Leotavius Roshard Ellington of Holmes County after a traffic stop turned into a vehicle pursuit on the morning of Sunday, June 22.

Officers initiated the stop in Kosciusko, but when Ellington was asked to exit the vehicle, he fled in his black Chevrolet Silverado. The pursuit continued to the Holmes County line, where police ended the chase.

Ellington’s truck bears a Holmes County license plate reading LOGDOG5. He is wanted on multiple traffic offenses, including felony fleeing.
