Prosecutors believed they had Sullivan dead to rights, finding text messages where she admitted to drinking and driving. Officers submitted her blood alcohol level of .241 as evidence and a receipt from a liquor store where Sullivan bought 20 airplane-sized bottles of Fireball, several of which were found in her car.

Small-Jackson’s father and baby were in the car with her. They were not hurt.
