At approximately 5:30 am, there was a collision between two cars and a backhoe.
It was reported that the backhoe was on its side, one car was on fire, and there were multiple injuries.
Leake County Deputies, Reformation Volunteer Fire, Carthage Fire Department, and Carthage Volunteer Fire responded to the scene.
One person was taken to Baptist Memorial Hospital – Leake.
The car fire was put out, and the scene was cleared without any further injuries.
