Bulldog basketball fans in Neshoba County and Central Mississippi will get an early look at Mississippi State Women’s Basketball this fall as the team hits the road for a special preseason trip.
Head Coach Sam Purcell and the Bulldogs will travel to Choctaw on Sunday, Oct. 18, for an open exhibition game against Louisiana Tech.
The trip to Choctaw marks a featured weekend for the program, with the team and coaching staff staying overnight at Pearl River Resort. Following Friday’s exhibition game, the Bulldogs will wrap up their stay Oct. 19, with a golf tournament at Dancing Rabbit Golf Club.
Before heading to Neshoba County, the Bulldogs are also inviting fans to Starkville for their annual Fan Clinic Thursday, Sept. 19. Held inside Humphrey Coliseum, the event gives fans a chance to spend the day around Coach Purcell and the staff, take a look into practice, and get a behind-the-scenes preview of the team.
The Oct. 18 exhibition in Choctaw is open to the public, and Mississippi State is encouraging Bulldog fans from across the region to come out and support the team.
