The MSU Extension Office of Leake County offers many monthly programs. If you are interested in any of the programs or clubs mentioned below, please contact the office at 601-267-8036. The Leake County Extension Office is located at 729 East Main Street in Carthage.
MSU Leake County Extension Office February Programs
- Sit & Be Fit Gentle Chair Exercise for Seniors – Will be held at the extension office on Mondays: March 3, 10, 17, 24, & 31 at 9:30 a.m.
- Kayak Club Interest Meeting – Will have its annual interest meeting on March 24, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. at the office. Anyone interested in participating in kayak outings this season should plan to attend. Information regarding rules and regulations as well as possible outings will be discussed.
- MSU Garden Club of Leake County – Will hold its monthly meeting on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. at the office. Dr. Qianwen “Megan” Zhang, Assistant Professor of Horticulture for MSU Truck Crops Branch Experiment Station, will give a presentation on “Hydroponic Gardening”. Bring a finger food item for light refreshments.
- Private Applicator Training – Will be held on April 7, 2025 beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the office. Due to new requirements, this is an all-day training event. The fee is $60 per person and a light lunch is included. Anyone interested in obtaining a new private applicator training card or needed to renew a card is invited and encouraged to attend.
