On Wednesday morning, Leake County Deputies and the Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to a two-vehicle accident on Highway 13 in the Lena area. A pickup truck reportedly collided with the rear of a semi-truck hauling chickens. No injuries were reported.
Later that afternoon, deputies were called to a one-vehicle crash near Hwy 429 and Conway Road. The vehicle left the roadway and came to a stop in a treeline. The occupants went to the hospital via personal vehicle.
