Leake County emergency responders worked several incidents on Wednesday, April 9.
At 7:00 a.m., Madden volunteers, Leake County deputies, EMS, and Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) responded to a two-vehicle crash on Hwy 487 near Scott Lake Rd. No injuries were reported.
Shortly after, at 7:43 a.m., a second two-vehicle crash involving a county vehicle occurred on Pilgrim Rest Rd. Again, no injuries were reported.
A domestic disturbance was reported at a residence on Gunter Rd. at 1:14 p.m. where the caller said their son and his girlfriend were physically fighting.
At 3:15 p.m., multiple agencies including Leake deputies, Carthage Police, EMS, MHP, and Carthage Fire Department responded to a crash involving a school bus at the intersection of Hwy 25 and Red Dog Rd. The passenger vehicle was reported to have overturned. There were children on the bus, but none were injured. One individual reportedly complained of hand pain, though it is unclear if anyone was transported to the hospital.
