Neshoba County Lake to Be Drained for Spillway Repairs

SHARE NOW

The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks has announced plans to drain Neshoba County Lake, located off Hwy 486 southeast of Philadelphia, for spillway repairs. No specific date has been given for when the repairs will begin.

The boat ramp is closed due to low water levels, though bank fishing remains open with rod-and-reel or pole fishing only. All size and daily catch limits have been lifted during this period.

Once drained, the lake will be closed to all activities until repairs are complete, but the campground will remain open to visitors.
