The Leake County Sheriff’s Department has a new K-9 officer. The dog named Kamira has undergone specialized training along with her handler, Deputy Warden Griffin. Sheriff Randy Atkinson says the department now has another valuable resource to help protect the community, assist with investigations and locate individuals when time matters.
