One person was airlifted after a crash on Highway 25 North near Goshen Road in Leake on Thursday afternoon.
Emergency responders, including the Carthage Fire Department, EMS, Leake County Deputies, and the Mississippi Highway Patrol, were dispatched to the scene at 3:21 p.m.
The crash involved an 18-wheeler and a work van. One individual became trapped inside a vehicle and had to be extricated by emergency personnel.
After being freed, the injured person was airlifted from the scene for further medical care.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
