A fatal two-car crash occurred just before 1 p.m. on Sunday, December 15, 2024, on Highway 35 South near Pleasant Hill Church of God.
Mr. Reginald (Reggie) Harkins, 73 of Leake County, was pronounced dead at the scene by Leake County Coroner Earl Adams.
Emergency responders, including Leake County Deputies, Carthage Fire Department, Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP), and EMS, were dispatched to the scene. The highway was shut down as first responders worked to clear the crash.
