Overpayment notifications are on the way. According to the Mississippi Department of Employment Security, “some individuals may have received a notification regarding overpayments. This is because you may have been overpaid.” MDES is not requesting anyone to repay these funds. The MDES is aware of these individuals and this money will be off-set on future payments. Over 140,000 people have filed for unemployment statewide.
