Baptist Memorial Hospital-Leake recently launched its first-ever “Summer Crash Course,” a week-long program designed to give high school students an immersive experience in various healthcare fields. Participating students were selected through an application process.

Throughout the week, students heard from experts in college planning, nursing, pharmacy technology, and therapy, among others. The program included educational games, shadowing opportunities, hospital walk-throughs, and even a tour of a medical helicopter.

“Summer Crash Course” aims to inspire and educate the next generation of healthcare professionals, providing them with invaluable insights and hands-on experiences.
