Kevin Dueitt is in custody after Hinds County deputies say he shot someone Monday afternoon on Airport Rd. in Raymond.
According to WLBT, Hinds County Sheriff Tyree Jones said Kevin Dueitt, 44, is in custody after shooting Lee Casterberry, 45, in the face. Casterberry was taken to the University of Mississippi Medical Center where he was in serious condition Monday night.
Dueitt has been arrested for aggravated assault. Sherrif Jones says the shooting stemmed from an argument between the two men.
Kevin Dueitt may look familiar as he has been arrested at least once before for a violent crime. Dueitt was charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon in Attala in 2022 and later that year he was wanted for violating a domestic violence protection order.
The investigation into Dueitt’s latest brutish offense is ongoing.
