A scam alert has been issued for SNAP. According to the Mississippi Dept. of Human Services, the USDA has issued a notice to protect SNAP participants from Fraud. You are advised to be aware of a text saying you are now eligible for SNAP or food stamps. If you receive a message like this, do not respond. And never share your personal information with phone numbers you do not recognize.
