Scott County Man Charged in “Savage Beating” of Pearl Woman

PEARL, Miss.–A man from Scott County has been charged in the Sunday morning beating of a woman.

Police say Christopher Curtis Mack, 38, of Morton, was walking down the street when they pulled up to a house on Shelton St., after getting a call about a physical disturbance about 3:40 a.m.

They detained Mack and went inside the house to find what they called a horrific scene.

A woman had been badly beaten. Police provided emergency care while waiting for an ambulance. The woman was sent to the hospital.

Meanwhile, Mack was taken to the Rankin County Jail and charged with aggravated domestic violence.
