A one-vehicle crash on Highway 16 East near Byrds Road sent at least one person to the hospital Sunday afternoon.
The crash was reported just before 5 p.m. near Bobo’s House Movers when a vehicle reportedly left the roadway and hit a tree.
Leake County Deputies, MHP, volunteer firefighters, and EMS were dispatched to the scene. It was reported that there may have been someone trapped in the vehicle.
An ambulance was soon escorted to the hospital. The condition of the individual transported is unknown.
