On the evening of Thursday, August 1, a shooting occurred at a trailer park on Hwy 35, across from the Carthage Fire Department. Law enforcement in the area saw the shooting happen and quickly pursued a vehicle they witnessed leaving the scene. This vehicle was determined to be the victim’s vehicle. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Currently, no arrests have been made.
