Smoke Inhalation Sends Two to Hospital in Carthage Fire

At 12 noon on Thursday, Carthage Fire Department, EMS, and Carthage Police responded to a house fire on Jefferson St.

The blaze may have started in the kitchen. Two people were transported by ambulance to a local hospital for smoke inhalation.

The extent of damage to the home has not yet been determined.
