Some Disaster Recovery Centers closing today

Five of the disaster recovery centers serving victims of the April storms, including the ones in Neshoba, Scott, and Madison counties, are closing today.

But people in those areas can still apply for federal disaster assistance online or  on the phone.

The deadline for those applications is August 9.

Survivors can apply for FEMA assistance by going online to DisasterAssistance.gov, downloading the FEMA mobile app or calling the FEMA Helpline at 800-621-3362.
