Three male juveniles from Cleveland, MS, were arrested today after leading law enforcement on a multi-county chase in a stolen white Chevy truck.
The pursuit in Attala began around 1:25 a.m. Tuesday, May 27, after the Attala County Sheriff’s Office was alerted by Carroll County authorities about the vehicle stolen from Cleveland.
ACSO says Deputy Jaroderick Teague spotted the truck on Hwy 35 near Culpepper Funeral Home and attempted a traffic stop. The driver is said to have fled into Kosciusko, running red lights at Hwy 35/12 and near Wendy’s before the vehicle ran out of gas near McCool.
The suspects were taken into custody at the scene and made their initial court appearance Tuesday morning before Judge Amy Gowan. They are being held in a Juvenile Detention Facility pending trial.
Authorities from Tallahatchie and Leflore counties also reported pursuits involving the same vehicle. ACSO says more charges could be pending.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
