Vaccinations continue across Mississippi. Some second dose are now being administered. According to the Mississippi Department of Health, 53,052 people from across the state have received their first vaccination. An additional 1,602 vaccines have been administered as second doses. 287 people have been vaccinated from Attala, 163 people from Leake, 390 from Neshoba and 221 from Winston county. Vaccine providers administering COVID-19 vaccine are required to report the doses administered to the Mississippi Immunization Information Exchange (MIIX), the statewide immunization registry, within 24 hours of administering. Vaccines are now available for all health care workers and individuals *75 and older.

* 18 drive-through sites throughout the state provide COVID-19 vaccinations to healthcare workers and health facilities staff and individuals over age 75. An appointment is required.
