Tuesday was Hectic for First Responders in Philadelphia and Neshoba

Philadelphia and Neshoba County first responders had a busy day managing multiple wrecks and disturbances.

Deputies responded to a call just after midnight regarding a disturbance between friends who had been drinking at Northfork Apartments on Hwy 19 N. They were later notified that an intoxicated woman had left the scene with a child. The woman was pulled over at CEFCO and charged with a DUI.

In the afternoon, Philadelphia Police responded to two minor wrecks—one in the parking lot of Marshall Ford and another in the parking lot of Shell. No injuries were reported in either incident.

Police, firefighters, and EMS were dispatched to a two-vehicle crash on Line Ave. near Old Mexico. At least one vehicle had to be removed from nearby train tracks, and both vehicles were towed from the scene. Shortly after, and not far from the first accident, there was another wreck involving a passenger vehicle and an 18-wheeler. No injuries were reported in either crash.

Officers were called to a residence on Carver Ave. to remove an individual from the property.

Police responded to the Department of Human Services, where two women had reportedly gotten into a physical altercation.

A head-on collision was reported on Pecan Ave. at Woodland Hills Dr. around 8 p.m. The Philadelphia Fire Department, EMS, and Police responded to the scene, but no injuries were reported.
