April is lining up to be a busy month in Leake County. Here are some of the upcoming events to look forward to.
The MSU Extension Service of Leake County will be hosting their regularly scheduled “Sit & be Fit” Gentle Chair Exercise program for seniors. The program will be held at 729 East Main Street in Carthage, on April 27th.
The Square County Garden Club will be holding its monthly meeting on April 28th at 6:30 PM at the MSU Extension Service – Leake County Office. Attendees are asked to bring additions to the light refreshments already being served.
The Leake County Mississippi Homemaker Volunteers (MSV) are sponsoring their semi-annual community food drive on Saturday, April 18th between 8:30 AM and 1:30 PM. Drop off your donations in the parking lot of First Baptist Church – Carthage, located at 402 Van Buren Street. All donations will benefit the Leake County Baptist Association food pantry.
