From the Mississippi Highway Patrol:
On Saturday, March 15, 2025, at approximately 6:45 p.m., the Mississippi Highway Patrol
responded to a single-vehicle fatal crash on Interstate 55 in Holmes County near the Durant
exit.
A 1999 Toyota Tacoma driven by 62-year-old William Snell of Sallis, Mississippi, was
traveling south on Interstate 55 when it went off the road and collided with a cable barrier.
William Snell received fatal injuries from the crash and was pronounced dead on the scene.
This crash remains under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
