Updated: Cow struck by car in Leake on Tuesday – several disturbances and minor crashes

Leake County Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Wiggins Loop Rd. to remove a trespasser at 4:16 a.m.

At 8:09 a.m., Deputies responded to a call reporting a possible break-in on Remus Rd. near Hwy 25.

Leake Deputies and MS Hwy Patrol were alerted to a two-vehicle crash on Hwy 16 E near Lobutcha bridge at 9:12a.m.  No one was reported to be injured in the crash.

Deputies were called to a residence on Hwy 16 W near Wiggins Loop Rd. at 9:24 a.m. regarding a domestic disturbance in progress there.

Deputies were alerted to a disturbance in progress at a home on Gunter Rd. near Hwy 488 at 12:23 p.m.

Leake County Deputies and MS Hwy Patrol responded to a two-vehicle wreck on Hwy 35 S near True Light Rd. at 4:27 p.m.  No injuries were reported.

Carthage Police responded to reports of a reckless driver traveling on Hwy 16 W coming into the city at 6:47 p.m.

Leake Deputies and Carthage Police were alerted to a reckless driver traveling on Hwy 16 E near Lobutcha headed toward Carthage at 8:41 p.m.

Leake County Deputies and Madden Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched to a crash on Laurel Hill Rd. near Martin Rd. where a vehicle struck a cow just before 9 p.m.  No one in the vehicle was injured.

Leake Deputies responded to a call reporting a vandalized vehicle at a residence on Gunter Rd. at 11:13 p.m.
