During halftime of the September 26 game between Bowling Green and Leake Academy, representatives from Bowling Green presented Leake Academy Headmaster Brian Pickens with a dogwood tree in honor of cheerleader Ava Byars, who passed away September 19.
Bowling Green also took up a love offering for the Byars family, which was also presented during the halftime ceremony.
