DeKALB, Miss.–A man was arrested by Kemper County deputies near DeKalb Friday night after crashing his car on Hwy. 397 and Kemper County Lake Rd.
The call came in about 11:15 for a single-vehicle crash.
Deputies said when they got there they found Jessie James Edwards. They did not provide an age or address.
They also said Edwards had a white powder on his person, which tested positive as 9.6 grams of cocaine. That is about one third an ounce and may be worth about $1,000.
Edwards was booked into jail and had bond set at $25,000.
