Convenience Store Reported Held Up in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA, Miss.–A convenience store was reported held by Friday night in Philadelphia.

The cashier at Philly Express on Pecan Ave. called in the robbery. The call was at about 9:30 p.m. He told the dispatcher that a Black man, about 6 ft. tall, wearing a face covering, showed a gun and took money from the cash drawer.

The man then left. The cashier did not see what kind of vehicle he left in, nor did he see the direction.

The cashier did tell police he has cameras in the store.

Several officers responded. No arrest was reported Friday night.
