PHILADELPHIA, Miss.–A controlled burn on some private property got out of controlled and spread across Hwy. 19 Tuesday evening.
Several fire units were called out to the intersection of Hwy. 19 at County Rd. 515 Tuesday afternoon.
By 6 p.m. the fire had grown and crossed the highway.
Neshoba County deputies were called out to block the highway and allow firefighters to get the fire under control.
