PHILADELPHIA, Miss.–A woman who was hit by a minivan and killed in Philadelphia has been identified by the Philadelphia Police Dept. as Andrea Grace Sam, 52, of Philly.
The police department says she was hit Friday morning about 5:45 on Hwy. 16 near Tractor Supply.
The woman was walking along the highway when she was hit by the van, which was traveling in the same direction, say police. Despite bystanders attempting CPR and an ambulance arriving, she died at the scene.
No arrests were announced and the police department did not say any were expected.
