CARTHAGE, Miss.–Two separate incidents where people were calling 911 and hanging up in Leake County Saturday were investigated by deputies.
The first was around 5 p.m. when several calls came in from a location that appeared to be an abandoned house on Gunter Rd. A deputy went to investigate and reported he was unable to find anyone.
The second group of hang-up calls came in around 9 p.m. from a location on Dorsey Rd.
The deputy who went to investigate the calls reported that an elderly woman came to the door, but it was unclear if there was an emergency.
