Big Drop in Flu Rate in Local Health District

SHARE NOW

Not much change in Mississippi’s flu rate.  The percentage of patients seeing their doctors with flu-like illnesses remained below 2 per cent for the week ending October 17.   That’s about the same as it was this time last year.  The big difference was in the public health district which includes Attala, Holmes, Carroll and Montgomery counties along with much of the Delta.  There, the flu rate has dropped by more than half, now at 4 per cent compared to almost 10 per cent a week earlier.
