PHILADELPHIA, Miss.–A child abuse incident was reported Friday evening in Philadelphia.
A caller to police dispatch said her children witnessed a woman break a broomstick across a child who appeared to be about 12 years old at a trailer park on Sistrunk Ave.
The woman was also reported to have thrown the child’s clothes out, with the child trying to pick them up and put them in a suitcase.
A short time after police arrived they called for an ambulance. They did not specify the injuries.
It was unclear if an arrest was made.
