Wind, Hail and Heat Stress Become Weather Concerns

As the threat of flash flooding tapers off in Mississippi, concerns about damaging winds and hail return with heat stress expected to be another weather issue starting Sunday.  The National Weather Service has posted a Level-1 “marginal” risk of isolated severe storms on Monday for much of the local area including Attala, Leake, Neshoba, Carroll, Montgomery, Choctaw and northeastern Holmes counties.

NWS is also warning about dangerous heat stress across western and southeastern Mississippi Sunday and Monday with triple digit heat index readings possible for the first time this spring.
