Much of Mississippi will begin the new work week under a heat advisory. The National Weather Service says the worst of the heat stress will be along and west of I-55 and north of Highway 82 through Thursday with heat index readings between 106 and 110 degrees. East of 55 and south of 82, the heat index could climb to 105.
