Multiple Crashes and Disturbance Reported Monday in Leake

Leake County first responders were dispatched to several incidents on Monday, Feb. 3.

Deputies, EMS, and MHP were called to a two-vehicle crash just after 1 a.m. on Hwy 16 E near McAfee Rd. Multiple individuals were transported by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries.

A disturbance involving weapons was reported to Leake Deputies at 2 p.m. on Morgan Rd. No injuries were reported.

Carthage Police were dispatched to a two-vehicle crash on Hwy 35 in front of Fortune Mart at 4 p.m. No injuries were reported.

At 7 p.m., Deputies, EMS, Edinburg Volunteer Fire Department, and MHP responded to a another collision on Hwy 16 E near Indian Branch Rd. One person reported experiencing back pain, but it is unclear if anyone was hospitalized.
