The Leake County Sheriff’s Office says a months-long investigation led to a major drug bust on Gomillion Rd. on Tuesday, October 20.
Leake County deputies and Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics agents arrested Jason McKee after he reportedly delayed surrendering for about 20 minutes while he allegedly attempted to flush drugs down a toilet.

Authorities say they seized approximately 527 grams of methamphetamine, 512 grams of fentanyl, 35 firearms, a Molotov cocktail, a live hand grenade, and a bulletproof vest with “DEA” hand painted on it.

Because explosives were found during the search, authorities contacted the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives. Federal charges are possible.

Sheriff Randy W. Atkinson praised deputies and investigators for safely handling the dangerous operation. Find more photos and details on their Facebook page.
